First Step
First, You need to calculate how many CEH’s you have accumulated. Start by going to the “CEH Lookup box” in the lower left hand corner of our webpage, enter your license number, see what Maine EMS has on file for you and print off the listing. Remember, this list will not include any standardized specialty certification programs (CPR, ACLS, PHTLS, PEPP, Etc.), so you will have to add these programs to the Maine EMS list to see how many hours you actually have accumulated. To help you identify the hours assigned to these specialty programs, click on the following link:
http://www.maine.gov/dps/ems/training_materials.html#ceh Here you will find the CEH requirements table, Standardized CEH listing, and the conversion guides for various on-line CEH programs (24-7, CE Solutions, etc).
Next
Once you have obtained your Maine EMS CEH report as well as your specialty certifications and on-line CEH’s, you can click on the link below to access a spreadsheet that will help you calculate how many hours you actually have. Please note that once you have accessed the spreadsheet, click on the Tab at the bottom of the sheet corresponding to your license level. Once there, fill in the specialty programs and on-line CEH’s you have accumulated in the column on the left side of the paper as well the assigned hours in the appropriate columns, then print off the form and save for your reference. Please do not try to save the form on-line.

Once you have gathered and counted your CEH’s (as long as you have enough to relicense), click on the following link to access the renewal application:

Print off the application and send it to Maine EMS, 152 state house station, Augusta, Maine 04333 -0152. Items to include with your application: Copy of the Maine EMS CEH report; copies of all of your specialty program certificates and cards, and copies of your on-line CEH certificates.
